Acceptance and Love

As you get older and grow through things (notice I said grow and not go), you start to see life in a different light. I’m not just talking about circumstances, but also the people you hang around and others you just come in contact with on a daily basis.
You often can feel vibes of others when you first introduce yourself; that vibe can either pull you in or make you run away.  What I’ve come to realize this past weekend is that I am starting to accept people where they are in life.  Without the stress of trying to change them for what I THINK they should be like. Nobody is perfect and everyone has their own journey to go through.

I know growing up, I’ve always been that friend where I will tell someone what I think is better for them, (probably still the same way today lol) but i came out in a forceful way of trying to actually change them.  I had to learn that people can’t change people, only God can. We can provide the inspiration and the tools, but ultimately it’s up to that person and God to make those changes.

I’ve always wanted to see the good in people and watch them reach their full potential.  I can tell God is working on me to be in inspiration to others. As I am constantly praying and asking for his strength and guidance to do what I’m supposed to do. I want to be molded into that woman He wants me to be.
I can say I am not perfect but I am happy and I am going to choose to stay that way. Every day is a gift and I am thankful for the ones I still communicate with and choose to be around. Family is family, whether they are in the blood line are not; we all come from GOD anyway.

I also think accepting our children for who they become and not forcing them to be who we want them to be, could be beneficial. When they get older, they will remember the things we taught them to guide them on the right path. So when they do fall off or get side tracked, those words we instilled into them will come right on time to pull them back on track.

So anyways, accept yourself, your children and those who you surround yourself with and always do it with LOVE!!!

Cherish Being Alone

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FJ1b99cFdnI/UKFrGg4RT9I/AAAAAAAAC6A/J71pwsYBphw/s400/self-reflection.jpg

I don’t like to be alone, but lately I’ve grown to cherish the time I do have with just me and my kids.  I still talk to a couple of people who I have known before motherhood but hanging out with them is not much of an option nowadays.

As I'm getting older, i have lost interest in a lot of the things I used to do like drinking, smoking and partying. Now I'm at the point of my life where i want to surround myself with people who want to grow in life. I want friends who want to do different things like go to jazz clubs, out to eat, the movies, play dates w/ the kids (if they have them) or just other little outings besides the ‘’turn-up” scene.

I want to surround myself with those I can grow with on a mental, spiritual, and emotional level. So we can understand each other, uplift and genuinely support one another without the drama.

I think it’s good we all have these type of people in our lives because we were not meant to be alone on this earth. God didn’t make all these people for us to isolate ourselves and hate one another.
We were meant to build up, encourage and love one another.

I think as women we have to accept the new position in our life when we have kids.  We have to remember our kids are looking up to us. If we can accept ourselves with being alone in a certain season in our life, it becomes a valuable lesson. Not only to us as a mother, but to our children as well.

It’s okay to not have everyone like you or be around people all the time. Even the ones we used to be ‘besties’ with.  There are times where we have to grow and gain the strength to mature alone.

Like it say’s in the bible, we all have a purpose and are uniquely made; one person is not like the other.  That time alone is where we can learn about our self and limit what we want into our lives when we do start to invite others into it.

Mentally it took me awhile to get to this point but daily I'm grateful I am being molded into  the woman God wants me to be.

Lesson Learned!!!

Job Vs. Career

How many mothers out there actually are working their dream jobs (not including celebrities)? How many are not? Does it actually matter what we do as a job? I mean as long as we’re taking care of the kids and paying the bills right?

Well in my opinion, IT DOES MATTER!
I think the job is the second home and where you spend probably more time than you actually spend time w/ your kids. So why settle for anything less than what you REALLY want to do? I know it’s easier said than done but many jobs we want, may not pay enough, or require a higher education. That may be something we’ve put off to just flip a burger or two to keep up w/ the bills. I mean there are always options for mothers to go back to school to get that degree, but time is money. LOL

Im not saying these things are always an issue w/ mommies but they do come to mind. I know for a fact for me, I am at a standstill in my life and wondering do I really want to be in the healthcare field for the rest of my life.  I’ve only done the behind the scenes (call center) for a while and right now I am tired of being on the phone. (that’s probably why I’d rather text family and friends versus calling them)
I see myself being in the front office of somewhere, checking people in. but I haven’t really applied myself in those positions yet.

WHY? Well there’s a lot into why I haven’t moved around so quickly into something I want to do and think I’ll enjoy more.

  • Time
  • Comfort
  • Attendance
  • Location
  • Pay
  • Longevity
  • Lack of Confidence

All these play a key role into why I have stuck it out and complained about my current role lol. I’ve got comfortable w/ my hours, staff and my supervisor who is real cool when it comes to me having to leave early due to my mommy duties. As well as finding another job is A JOB in itself.  I get paid pretty decent compared to previous companies doing the same thing, but I know I WANT MORE.

I know at the right time doors will open for me, but I also know if I want something I have to go after it. As of May 1st l, I've been at my current job for 1 whole year (seems like forever) and I'm like what's next.
I could be some mothers I know and get another part time job, but who wants to spend all their life into working and not much time with their kids?? I've been there and done that and I told myself I don't wanna live my life like that as a single parent.

But anyways, hopefully something will pop into my brain of mine and see what other options are for me.

It's very tiring  to wake up and dreading to go to work and having the feeling of just wanting to walk out. BUT HEY, I GOTTA KEEP GOING.

April Showers Brings May Flowers

OMG!. It's already a new month. It's almost half of the year. Where has time gone?
As I mentioned before, TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE. I feel I have learned soooo much about myself and have gone through some crazy things, but they all have been life lessons for sure.

I plan on keeping on and pushing forward and I'm excited to know what God has in store for me by the time 2016 is to an end.

My birthday is officially 2 months away (July 3rd) and I definitely want to at least accomplish one fitness goal; 1 AB before I turn the big 2-9. LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Ingredients for this to happen:
  1. Prayer
  2. Patience
  3. Disciple
  4. Better choices
I know I'm going to need God's strength to help me through all of this because I am not in the position to think I can do this alone. I don't have no  ''Tae Team", so it's going to be God and me and we're going to have to make this work.

Other than that, this blog was not going to be on anything specific. I'm just seeing all the things I've been through these past 4 months (pain and tears.) is only going to produce a beautiful outcome. I know for a fact I've held on to a lot of things and tried to reopen things and it only brought me back down the same hole.

I've buried that hole and I've put a seed into it. This month  I will be watering it and watching how it grows.

Making this month of May, the month of ME!!!

I'm taking all things into consideration of what i put into my mind, body and soul because all that you put into yourself always comes out.

I am a walking inspiration to one person if not many and I don't want to leave this earth without fulfilling my God given purpose.

So Until then I will.....
